Questions

Will an eSIM work on my phone in Italy?
It works on any eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone: iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and recent Samsung Galaxy S and Z models. Check Settings for an 'Add eSIM' option — if it's there, you're fine.
What does 'unlimited' actually mean here?
You get a set amount of full-speed data every 24 hours, and after that data keeps working at a reduced speed until the next day resets it. Nothing stops and there is no overage charge. We show the exact daily allowance and the reduced speed on every unlimited plan, because 'unlimited' means different things at different price points and you should be able to see which you're buying.
When does my plan start counting down?
Validity begins the moment you first use data on the network, not when you buy or install it. That means you can safely install at home on wifi days before you fly.
Do I keep my normal phone number?
Yes. The eSIM handles data only and sits alongside your existing SIM, so calls and texts to your usual number keep working. Turn off roaming on your primary line to avoid charges from your home carrier.
Do I need to register my passport to use data in Italy?
No. Local prepaid SIMs in many countries require identity registration at the point of sale. A travel eSIM is issued against a roaming agreement, so there's no paperwork and nothing to collect on arrival.
What if I run out of data?
Buy another plan and install it the same way. We'd rather you start with a smaller plan and top up than overbuy — most travellers use far less than they expect when hotel and cafe wifi is available.
